Forging First Impressions

You have less than 3 seconds to convince people to stay

Your website is one of the the first things, if not the first thing, that your potential customers see. That's assuming your website loads fast enough for them to stay.

This is where it pays to have website that blends striking visuals, strong brand messaging with robust functionality. Whether you're looking for a one page website or a full e-commerce solution, well thought out design can go a long way in helping convert visitors to customers.

The Website Design Process

Transforming an idea into an experience for your customers.

We discuss your business, goals, audience and I put together a proposal that outlines the project and down down all of the costs.

We plan the path forward, identify gaps, and set delivery timelines, and finalize the budget.

The approved design will be prepared as a live demo and then used to layout content and configure any additional features.

Everything is almost ready, now it's time to compress images, test page load speeds, apply SEO best practices, make sure that all forms are working, etc.

The website is moved to the live server, security measures are configured and one last test of all forms and features is completed. You'll also be trained on how to use your new website.

It's always good to do a review of analytics and customer feedback a few months after the launch.

Flexibility With WordPress

If you love unnecessary complexity as much as I do, then you'll love the simplicity of a WordPress website.

I highly recommend WordPress as the ideal CMS for small business websites, nonprofit and social enterprise. It's incredibly easy to use, versatile, flexible, and scalable. With a user-friendly interface and a vast library of plugins that can installed and customized to fit your unique needs and audience. From a one page website to a robust e-commerce or membership website.

Overall, WordPress is a reliable and efficient platform that now powers over 43% of websites across the internet. It allows small business owners to build a robust online presence without adding more to their already-full plate.

E-commerce web design

Make it easy to buy from your business

WooCommerce is a great shopping cart solution for small and medium sized businesses. It's easy to manage so even if you're not tech savvy, it can be done quickly and without any hassle.

The base features are free which makes it a great option for small businesses. Some additional functions, such as registration forms can have an annual cost, but that is something that I always discuss at the beginning of any project and include in cost breakdowns.

WooCommerce shines when it comes to customization and flexibility. Whether you’re selling physical products or digital services, a seamless experience can be created for your customers.

If you've outgrown Etsy, Shopify or are simply looking to a custom shopping experience for your customers, this this could very well be a great solution for you.

If all of the content for the website is ready, a new website will generally take 3-4 weeks to complete. This includes time for you to review the design and for me to make necessary revisions.

In cases where content still needs to be created, it tends to be between 6-8 weeks.

Yes, I am able to help write the content for the new website. I can also give you recommendations for content to help get you started. If there is a lot of content needed, I can help connect you with a copywriter to help make it awesome.

Once the website is complete you will need to find somewhere to host the it. Your site can be hosted on something like GoDaddy or Siteground for around $10-$15 per month.

There are sometimes annual license fees for premium plugins used on the website. However, any ongoing costs will be outlined in the proposal.

Once completed, the website is owned by you. If you ever want to move the site to a different web host, or have someone else work on the site going forward, you’re completely free to do so.

Absolutely. I try to help make my clients as independent as possible when it comes to their online presence.

When the website is complete we will provide you with training videos and a training session to show you how to make changes to your new website. . Even people with no previous experience with WordPress can be taught in less than an hour to make basic changes.
