With over 2,100 events in the calendar (Yep, I was impressed too!) and a plugin update that broke the calendar, the website was in need of some help.
After migrating the events to fresh WordPress installation, a new website was created with a focused on the visitor experience and creating a more consitent and recognizable brand.

Comprehensive Calendar
Due to the number of calendar events and the particular plugin updates, a healthy amount of troubleshooting was required to import and display the previous listings. Once the events were imported, the calendar was customized to better suite the needs of the website and it's users.
Website Design
Many Ottawa residents use the website to read reviews of local events and find out what events are coming up in the area. The main menu and homepage were reimagived so people can quickly and easily find the events and reviews they're interested in.
Speed Optimization
The website was launched but it was soon obvious that the server was just not powerful enough for a website a large listing of events. After several configuration changes, it was moved to a new, more powerful server. A few optimizations later and the website is performing as intended, beautifully across all devices.
